Family Portrait at the Park

I was so excited when Janet and Jason contacted me again to take their family photos. This time around it was taken at a gorgeous park on a perfectly beautiful day.

The park had these beautiful large stones perfect for a backdrop:

Gorgeous Locations

The N Family. They are seriously one of the sweetest families I know. I always look forward to doing their photo shoots because I know it is going to be a fun time. We went to three different locations which were all amazing.

This wall was pretty awesome. The whole building (which wasn't too big) was painted with many different vibrant colors. I want to go back and take my kids there for another photo shoot if the weather cooperates.

Sleepy Head

 

The babies that I have taken photographs of usually don't sleep this much at two and half weeks old. I would usually come to the house and once clients start undressing the babies, they would usually wake up and cry for a little bit with the discomfort.

Callie on the other hand, pretty much slept through the whole shoot. She may have cried for a minute but once she was wrapped in a blanket all snug as a bug, she was good to go.

She didn't even mind laying her head on this cool book shelf:

But I think her favorite was this blanket. She probably could have slept in it for hours.

Ribbons and Paint

I haven't had many opportunities to do a maternity shoot so when Laurie sent me a message saying she had a couple of ideas she would love to try out I immediately made sure the two weekends I had during the month of September were available for her (seriously, my children's social life is as well as activities are much more hectic than mine, lol!). She was due in 4 weeks time and boy, was I glad I was able to photograph her because she gave birth to her gorgeous baby girl within a week after the shoot!

Instead of the usual one ribbon around her baby bump she decided to have several different types of pink ribbons and I thought it was such a cute idea.

It was wonderful to see that she was up for anything and she even brought some paint and had her husband paint her entire belly:

Her husband Nate was such a good sport about the whole thing. These guys knew how to laugh and you can definitely tell how excited they were to have a baby girl.

Kindergarten

Here's Cameron the morning of his first day of Kindergarten. I am so proud of him. :)

Color Block

When Heather told me she found the perfect location for their family pictures, I got very excited. I have been wanting to do a photo shoot with lots of bright colors and this location did not disappoint!

The place looked very unassuming and I would have totally driven by it without taking a second look. There were "no trespassing" signs around it along with "video surveillance" written on the walls but Heather was smart enough to get a permit for us.

The area also had some gorgeous pockets of light peeking through. And with these kids, it's easy to take beautiful pictures. I mean, look how gorgeous they are!

They kids also knew how to have a good time.

And because they put up with all my antics, they got a treat in the end.

Once again, Heather you have made it so easy for me! It was a pleasure taking your family photos!

Can I just say GAP Kids model?

He definitely knew how to do the serious look when asked.

But he also had one of the sweetest smiles.

You could also tell that he knew how to be cheeky.

And he definitely knew how to be silly.

Baby P Diddy

Could this little guy be any cuter?

"Baby P Diddy" is what his aunt lovingly calls him. I think it's absolutely appropriate since he sure has his "swag" on.

He definitely got his good looks from his mom and dad.

With a face like this, who could resist him?

Memorial Day Twins

Anna Maria Island

I am still on vacation mode (sigh). My family and I just came back from Florida late last night and I can't seem to get motivated to do anything. The weather and water was absolute perfection. Looking at these two gorgeous little ones makes me wish I was back there.
